Trade Compliance Alert

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) has announced a new Section 301 action imposing additional duties ranging from 10% to 12.5% on certain imports from 60 economies, effective July 24, 2026.

This action represents an important development for the international trade community, particularly for importers, customs brokers, compliance specialists, and supply chain professionals responsible for managing import costs and regulatory obligations. Products subject to these measures may face increased landed costs, making it essential for businesses to evaluate their exposure and understand the potential impact on sourcing decisions, pricing strategies, and overall supply chain operations.

Companies should carefully review their HTSUS classifications, country-of-origin determinations, and customs entry procedures to determine whether any of their imported products are affected by the newly announced duties. Failure to identify impacted shipments could result in unexpected costs, compliance risks, and disruptions to import operations.

As trade regulations continue to evolve, maintaining visibility into tariff changes and regulatory developments is critical for ensuring compliance and protecting business continuity. Organizations that proactively assess the impact of these measures will be better positioned to adapt their sourcing strategies and mitigate financial exposure.

To assist the trade community, we have compiled the complete list of affected economies.
